Halie Hovenga is an administrative professional by day, student by night, and amateur photography enthusiast by heart. Professionally, she is currently researching corporate social media development and integration as an opportunity for professional growth and advancement. Never one to stop reaching for those elusive goals, she is working towards a 5-year Masters in Humanities through Old Dominion University.

Halie may be found in a variety of platforms around the web. Somewhat of an Internet and social media veteran, she has created family web pages, maintained web blogs, hosted discussion forums, and currently maintains content on flickr (photosbyhalie) , myspace (photosbyhalie) , LinkedIn , and Facebook. As a web citizen, she also may be found participating in discussions taking place on diverse news and blog forums.

As a photographer, Halie’s photographic passions include intimate maternity portraiture, relationship portraiture, people, pets, and miscellanea. Coupleship is a main recurring theme in Halie’s photography and may be seen in much of her portraiture. A wife and mother, she lives and works in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
